The Azores Aeronautical Training Academy (AATA) launched its website, a means of commincation of excellence and of corporate promotion, on the day of its 3rd anniversary.

The connection between Lisbon and Pico Island, through flights S42141 and S42140, which should have been held this morning, was cancelled due to damages caused on the Airbus A320 CSTKK aircraft by entities other than SATA that will be held responsible in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Starting with the IATA Winter Season, which begins at the end of October, SATA will increase its flights between the Azores and the United States and Canada, at which time there will be one more weekly rotation to Boston and Toronto. The number of flights will be gradually increased until the months of July and August, when SATA will fly every day from Ponta Delgada to Boston, and six days a week from Ponta Delgada to Toronto.

This Tuesday, SATA Gestão de Aeródromos, the department responsible for the management of aerodromes, will launch the call for tenders for the work of Remodelling and Renovating the Terminal of the Corvo Island Aerodrome.

SATA Gestão de Aeródromos, the department that manages aerodromes, recently completed the project for Reconstruction Work on the Strip at the Threshold of Runway 09 of the Pico Island Airport. The project has been sent to the National Institute of Civil Aviation for the issuance of an opinion.
